The BackgroundHow it WorksFuture

Future:

The aim now is for the Hope Fund to speed its growth, doubling and even trebling the number of students we can educate over the next five years.

During 2009, the Hope Fund will continue to solicit scholarships from new colleges willing to share in our vision of a better future through higher education for poor Palestinian refugee students.

To this end, we have obtained the pro bono assistance of two experienced fundraising specialists, we are expanding our board and are actively seeking major grants. It is our goal to one day be able to fund scholarships in our own right as well as in partnership with generous institutions.

While it is easy these days to give way to despair over the situation in the Middle East and to doubt our ability to make a difference, we take as our motto Margaret Mead's famous saying:

Never doubt that a small, thoughtful group of committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
