Geraldine Brooks

Geraldine Brooks is the author of two novels and three works of non-fiction, including Nine Parts of Desire and Imazighen: The Vanishing Art of Berber Women. She was a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal for ten years, covering conflicts in the Middle East, Bosnia and Somalia. She writes occasionally for publications such as the New Yorker, and is currently a Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies at Harvard University.
Her Washington Post article was the inspiration for the establishment of the Hope Fund.
